![]() So what are some of the key differences between Dimension and Stager? Where Dimension was a general purpose application that was intended for those new to 3D to learn, Stager is a dedicated scene staging application that is more powerful for professional 3D artists while retaining it's approachability for those learning 3D. ![]() Today we launched a new application - Adobe Substance 3D Stager! Stager is built by the same team that built Dimension with a shared foundation for some technology while also being a bit reimagined. It's been a little while since I've had an announcement for the community, but I'm very happy to be able to break the silence on some exciting news. Mostly because they just won't list it, acknowledge it and/or consider it a priority to fix.Hi everyone! Jeanette here, lead product manager for Dimension. #3 - Consider this more important than the other known issues, because there isn't a single paying Adobe customer that is happy about this and wouldn't LOVE to use Stager for close-up, near-close-up rendering of objects with decals.Īngry. #2 - Take the rendering module(s) and code base for Dimension Rendering engine and leverage it in STAGER! What if there was an Adobe product that DID render decals with configurable resolutions.Stager is easy-to-use and way more fun that Blender.I can import the objects into Blender, add decals and Whammo! No Pixelation. After I get everything where I want it, I leave off all decals. ![]() ![]() Sadly, Adobe does not even have it listed as a primary "Known Issue" and it should be "Known Issue", #1. While I appreciate the offer for a work around, no matter how we cut it, the decals will continue to be 72 dpi and even at the highest resolutions, close-ups or "near" close-ups, the decals are pixelated. ![]()
